Past Games, Seasonal Leaderboards & Avatar Polish

Past game pages now render fully server-side, so the video player and roster show up on the first paint instead of flashing. Leaderboards default to the current season, recruiting credits follow actual game attendance, and every avatar falls back to the player’s email initial instead of a generic question mark.

Past Game Pages

  • Fixed the blank-page bug where loading a past game’s detail page would flicker and then disappear
  • Highlights, hoopers, and game details are now rendered on the server and arrive together on the first paint
  • Clips waiting to be tagged show a tag icon in the strip instead of a blank avatar, so it ’s obvious when attribution is missing

Seasonal Leaderboards

  • The leaderboard now defaults to the active season (Spring ’26 today) instead of all-time, and renders that selection server-side so it doesn’t flicker
  • Dashboard highlight leaders widget mirrors the same active-season filter
  • Recruiting credits are now awarded based on which games the referred player actually signed up for — a referral in January whose first game is in Spring ’26 shows up in Spring ’26 standings
  • Recruiting leaderboard prompts you to share your referral link when it’s empty, instead of telling you to play a game

Avatars & Nameless Players

  • Players who haven’t set a name yet show the first letter of their email as the avatar initial, everywhere an avatar appears — game rosters, the tag picker, clip strips, leaderboards, record-wins, and the profile header
  • Placeholder labels switched from “Unknown” to “Player” across the dashboard, leaderboards, and record-wins admin

Profile & Dashboard

  • Your profile page now lists highlights newest-first
  • The dashboard “last game” video now correctly picks the most recent game by Eastern calendar day, and falls back to the prior game if last week’s clips haven’t been uploaded yet

Admin Upload Flow

  • The highlight upload page now walks you through the full export → convert → upload pipeline with step-by-step instructions until you’ve fetched your first batch
  • Instructions link to a reference video for exporting multiple clips from Final Cut Pro
