1. Services Provided

Saturday Hoops NYC organizes recreational basketball pick-up games for adults in New York City. By purchasing access, you are granted a limited, non-transferable right to participate in a scheduled basketball session. Ownership of the court is not transferred, and access is restricted to the duration of the session purchased.

2. Non-Transferable Access

Access purchased for a basketball session is for personal use only. You may not resell, transfer, or share access with others. Any unauthorized sale or transfer is strictly prohibited.

3. Waiver and Emergency Contact

All players are required to sign a digital waiver before participating in any basketball session. As part of the waiver, you must provide emergency contact information (name and phone number).

By providing your emergency contact information, you consent to it being shared with other players registered for the same game session on the day of the game. This information is only visible to logged-in players on your game day and is provided solely for safety purposes during gameplay. See our Privacy Policy for more details on how this data is handled.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

If you can't make a game, release your spot from the game card. We'll offer it to the waitlist — first come, first serve. If someone takes it, you'll be credited one game's worth of credits toward a future game. If nobody takes it, your spot is gone and no credits are issued.

Supporter perk. Supporters who release their spot at least 48 hours before the game are credited immediately, whether or not the waitlist fills the spot.

5. Payments and Saved Cards

All payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card details are entered into Stripe's hosted forms and never reach our servers.

Saved cards. When you save a card to your account, you authorize Saturday Hoops NYC to charge it for the game registrations and credit-pack purchases you initiate on the site (one-click signups). You can remove the card at any time via the “Manage” button on your account page.

Supporter Program subscriptions. The $5.99/month Supporter subscription renews automatically each month using your saved card. You can cancel anytime via the “Manage Billing” button on your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep Supporter pricing through that date.

6. Data Collection and Privacy

We collect personal information such as name, email, and payment information to facilitate your order. We may also collect non-personal information through website cookies to improve user experience. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.

7. Community Conduct

Saturday Hoops NYC is a coed, inclusive pickup community. By participating in our games or using our website, you agree to the community standards set out in our Playbook, including the “Off the court” section. In particular, you agree to:

• Respect other players' stated names and pronouns.
• Refrain from harassment, threats, or unwanted contact — on our platform, in the WhatsApp group, over email, or on Instagram or other channels you found through Saturday Hoops NYC.
• Not share another player's profile information (photos, pronouns, Instagram handle, emergency contact) outside the league without their consent.

Violations may result in a warning, suspension from one or more games, or permanent removal from Saturday Hoops NYC, at our discretion. Serious violations may skip the warning step. To report a concern privately, email evan@mail.saturdayhoopsnyc.com.

8. Profile Content

You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the information you provide on your player profile, including your display name, profile photo, pronouns, Instagram handle, username, and other player details. Uploaded photos, pronouns, Instagram handles, and usernames are displayed publicly on your player profile. We reserve the right to remove or request changes to any content that we determine violates these Terms or the Playbook, or that we consider inappropriate for a community pickup league.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New York.

10. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated to you via email.
