Release Your Spot

If you can’t make a game, drop your spot from the game card. No emails, no DMs, no waiting on Evan to remember to update the roster. The spot is offered to the waitlist instantly, and if someone takes it, you get a credit toward a future game.

And full games no longer dead-end at a “Full” badge — tap Join Waitlistand you’ll be first in line if anyone bails.

How releasing works

  • Open the game card or detail page, tap Release spot, confirm the checkbox, and you’re out
  • Everyone on that game’s waitlist gets an email the moment your spot opens. First one to register wins
  • When someone takes your spot, you’re automatically credited one game’s worth of credits and notified by email
  • If nobody takes the spot before tip-off, your spot is gone and no credits are issued (so releasing very late is a real choice, not a free pass)

Supporter perk: instant credits, 48 hours out

Supporters who release at least 48 hours before tip-off get their 15 credits immediately— whether or not anyone takes the spot. Drop early, get refunded right away, and the waitlist still gets a shot at the seat.

Changed your mind?

As long as nobody’s grabbed your spot yet and the roster has room, the card shows a Take spot backlink — one tap puts you back on the lineup, no money or credits move, no harm done.

Refund policy, updated

The cancellation paragraph in our Terms now reflects the new flow: refunds are issued in credits when a waitlister takes your spot, not in cash, and never via Stripe. The FAQ picked up a fresh “How does the waitlist work?” entry alongside the rewritten refund answer.

One-line version: if someone takes your spot, you’re credited; if nobody does, your spot is gone. Supporters releasing 48+ hours out are credited immediately either way.
