A New Hero & Richer Player Profiles

June 8, 2026

Two updates today. The homepage gets a new hero reel cut from the new Upper East Side gym, and the player profile page picks up real stats, a new teammates section, and a redesigned mobile layout.

A new homepage hero

The background video on the homepage is now a nine-clip reel from this season at the new UWS gym — jerseys, the wood floor you actually play on, and the players you actually play with.

Past Games gets real numbers

Every profile's Past Games card now opens with a three-stat triptych: appearances, clips earned, and highlight games (games where at least one clip was captured). Below it, the date ribbon shows the per-game clip count as an orange band under each day — or a dim em-dash for games where the player showed up but nothing was filmed. Games with ten or more clips pick up a small star.

The Starred / All filter pill row above the reel is gone — the closing-credits card that pauses between starred and unstarred clips already handles that transition.

Played With

A new section under Past Games lists the five teammates this player has shared the most games with, ranked by game count. First name only, square avatars, an orange games-played count to the right. It's the quickest read of who someone actually hoops with.

Mobile profile, redone

Both Past Games and Played With have purpose-built mobile layouts now — no more horizontal scroll. Past Games groups game chips by month, with a month label on the left and a per-month count on the right; chips drop the redundant month abbreviation since the row already carries it. Played With renders as a vertical leaderboard with all five teammates visible at once.

Cheers,
Evan
