Better Share Links & a Round of Fixes

June 25, 2026

A handful of updates since the last note — most of them under the hood. The headline: links to past games finally preview the way they should. The rest is a round of fixes to sign-ups, billing, and the recruiting board.

Past-game links get a real preview

Drop a link to a past game into iMessage, WhatsApp, or Slack and the preview now shows the game date, a “Watch the Highlights” card, and how many clips are up — instead of the generic homepage card it used to fall back to. Upcoming-game links and the main site link are unchanged.

If someone who isn't signed in taps through, they now land on a clean “sign in to watch” page for that exact game — with the date and clip count — rather than a bare login screen. The clips themselves still require an account.

Cleaner sign-ups

Signing up for a game now tidies up after itself. If you were on the waitlist, you're taken off it the moment you grab a spot — so waitlist counts are accurate and you stop getting “a spot just opened” emails for a game you're already in. If you'd pre-registered, you'll no longer show up as both pre-registered and registered. And releasing a spot now works even if you'd re-registered since your last release.

One-click signup, charged once

Tightened up the one-click (saved-card) signup against a rare double-submit. Tapping the button twice in quick succession could, in an unlucky case, refund your card while still leaving you holding the spot — which then paid out credits on release it shouldn't have. Now a double-tap is charged exactly once and credited correctly.

Recruiting leaderboard math

Fixed the recruiting board's season counts. A player you recruited is now credited in the season they played their first game, so the per-season totals add up to your all-time number instead of double-counting recruits who kept coming back week after week.

Cheers,
