See the Game Before You Book
July 28, 2026
It's been about a month, and a lot has shipped. The headline: you can now open any game to see who's playing before you commit, and you'll always get a heads-up before your card is charged. On top of that — a friendlier pre-registration flow, easier spot reclaims, a new membership page, and ClassPass support.
See who's playing before you sign up
Tapping a game used to sign you up on the spot — which meant a curious tap could book you a game (and charge you) by accident. Now tapping a game opens it: the full roster, the details, everything. Signing up is its own button, so looking and booking are finally two different things.
And before any real charge, you'll see a quick confirmation with the card and the amount — no more surprise bookings. Using a credit, or taking back a spot you released, still happens in a single tap, since those are easy to undo.
Pre-registration holds your place in line
For games more than a week out, non-members pre-register — save a card, and you're only charged if a spot is actually available a few days before. The big change: you now hold your place in line. As members and credit-holders book, the open pre-registration spots tighten, but you're never kicked out weeks ahead.
A few days before the game, whoever fits is charged in the order they joined, and anyone who didn't make it hears from us then — not weeks early. If someone drops before then, the line simply moves up.
Take your spot back for free
Change your mind after releasing a spot? As long as no one else has grabbed it, you can reclaim it for free instead of paying again — your original payment just carries over. Released players now see a Reclaim Spot button right on the games list, so it's one tap from anywhere.
A home for membership
There's a new /membership page that lays out what being a Supporter actually gets you — the lower per-game rate, a spot at the front of the line, and real highlight clips from your games in one place.
ClassPass drop-ins
We now support players who book through ClassPass. If that's you, the game page shows a note to cancel on ClassPass — instead of a Release Spot button that wouldn't do anything for a ClassPass booking.
Speed, polish, and behind the scenes
Signed-in pages paint noticeably faster now — we cut a pile of redundant behind-the-scenes round trips. Player avatars that were occasionally stretching into ovals are round again, and credit signups and waitlisters now get a note when a game's capacity changes.
Under the hood there's a new payment reconciliation safety net, a billing-account move, and better email deliverability — nothing you have to do, just steadier plumbing so signups and receipts land reliably.
Cheers,
Evan
